Environmental
Analysis
The environmental aspects
of all development sites are considered prior to
beginning land development activities. Designing with
nature eases compliance with today's regulations. Such
efforts result in projects that are well received by
governmental officials and surrounding landowners.
Most recently the firm has
worked with The Nature Conservancy to provide land
planning services for the environmentally sensitive land
acquisition program for sites within the City of Venice
and Sarasota County. This effort has required specific
site environmental analysis leading to an understanding
of allowable development scenarios.
Ms. Bowie was the lead
planner for final production of the NEPA Environmental
Impact Statements for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid
Transit Authority. Recently Bowie Urban Planners has
assisted in providing the real estate impact analysis
portion of the Environmental Impact Statement for the
Englewood Connector.
